Board members contribute professional, business or organizational expertise and governance experience to strategy formulation, revenue generation and oversight; provide organizational oversight, initiating and supporting key fundraising activities, as well as act as a public advocate and champion of our organization; and work collaboratively with staff and other board members to grow our organization and achieve our vision of promoting sustainable action on human dignity, healthy communities and global justice through solidarity and partnership. I hereby apply to be considered for nomination to Change for Children's Board of Directors, and in doing so, acknowledge and declare that: (please check each statement below to indicate your acknowledgement)*

Representation and Advocacy: I will actively represent and promote the organization’s mission, values, and work within the community and act as an informed ambassador and spokesperson.

Engaged Participation: I will attend and contribute to board meetings, serve on at least one committee, and participate meaningfully in decision-making processes, maintaining regular attendance in accordance with the organization’s bylaws.

Volunteer Hours: If a Casino fundraising event occurs during my tenure, I will volunteer to work at least one shift at the event.

Fundraising and Financial Support: I will meet personal fundraising commitments, make an annual financial contribution at a personally meaningful level, and support fundraising initiatives through outreach, events, and donor engagement.

Integrity and Accountability: I will act in the best interests of the organization, disclose any conflicts of interest, and uphold ethical standards in all board activities and responsibilities.

Collaboration and Learning: I will stay informed about the organization’s activities, ask questions, seek information as needed, and work collaboratively with staff and fellow board members to advance our shared goals.
