Each household receives a durable Tulip filtration unit capable of removing 99.99% of bacteria, protozoa, turbidity, and odour, providing families with a safe, low-cost method for treating water for drinking and cooking. This intervention is especially critical in areas where communities rely on rivers as their only water source and where contamination leads to high rates of waterborne illness.

Filters serve as a temporary but vital measure while long-term community water system solutions continue to be explored.

Building on the successful use and high adoption rates of Tulip filters distributed in communities in 2024 and 2025, this next phase expands access to clean drinking water for additional high-needs communities whose water sources have been compromised by climate-related disruptions, including seasonal forest fires and prolonged drought.
