Many Hands Make Light Work

The Women of the Taltimiche Weaving Co-Op are currently working together to re-build their weaving workshop that was damaged by an earthquake late last year. Many of our generous donors stepped up to help us rebuild a workshop that had been originally constructed by Change for Children in the early 1990s and was instrumental in the economic development of the area and the independent income generation capacity of the women weavers. We still need to raise an additional $5000 for the workshop re-construction and surrounding infrastructure. The women weavers hope to inaugurate the new workshop early in 2014 and begin weaving their precious Guatemalan textiles again soon.
