Alberta Teachers #makeroom in Guatemala
2018 ATA brigade
“Education should not be the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” — William Butler Yeats
The Alberta Teachers’ Association will be sending teachers to spend two weeks this summer in Guatemala. Building on last year’s inaugural teacher brigade to the Comitancillo region, Alberta teachers will once again share their skills by providing support to local teachers learning ot incorporate technology in math and language lessons through our Technology for Improved Education project. This professional development opportunity is the product of a partnership between the Alberta Teacher’s Association and Change for Children. Travel dates will be July 5–21, 2019.
