Today, on International Women’s Day, people around the world are pledging to take a concrete step to move from talk to purposeful action to help women achieve their ambitions and realize their limitless potential!
In our travels and through our partnerships at home and in the South, we continue to meet strong women challenging status quos, defying biases, and being leaders of change. Just a few days ago, we meet Daniella Lopez in Chile in the small Mapuche indigenous community of Kuramahuida. She is the only female community leader in this zone. And she is young. And courageous. And unphased. And when not attending classes studying obstetrics, she is leading her community in their fight for land rights and in their efforts to preserve the Mapuche culture. She has made a pledge for parity.
