All about the Follow Through

The last quarter of Change for Children’s 40 year history has included the annual Joffrey Lupul Charity Golf Classic. That’s a TEN YEAR tradition that is still going strong! After another beautiful day spent at the Blackhawk Golf Club, it is obvious that the dedicated organizers, spirited golfers, and generous sponsors of this event all recognize the importance of follow-through. On and off the course.

Support of the tournament this year saw proceeds in excess of $100,000! That is a LOT of follow through, which will in turn follow through to Change for Children projects.

I’ll raise a golf club to that!

Joffrey Lupul of the Toronto Maple Leafs continued his support of Change for Children this year by hosting the event which included 18-holes of golf, a putting competition, and, with the help of Oilers radio analyst, Bob Stauffer, and Scottie Upshall of the St. Louis Blues, a spirited live auction for charity!

Total revenues from this annual event have now reached a ten-year total of almost $900,000! As Change for Children turns forty, we are especially grateful for the long-standing dedicated partners who continue to follow through with steadfast support.

Last year, in addition to proceeds supporting a number of other Change for Children project initiatives, a community water well was drilled in the tournament’s name in the community of Pellizco Oriental. This year will follow suit.

THANK YOU to all the generous supporters, golfers, and sponsors who made this even a success. Special thanks to the commitment of the Lupul family and event organizer, Glenn Isaac.
