Most recently, César and the project team travelled to coastal Caribbean communities, including the community of Sangrelaya, Honduras. Solar panels were installed on the school roof, while inside the school, teachers gathered to build their skills and confidence. Chromebooks were distributed, the Remote Area Community Hotspot for Education was powered up, and hands-on workshops were held.
Through distance teacher training, expanded access to digital learning resources, and the community-led development of mother-tongue materials, teachers and students alike are being set up for success in this historically marginalized community along Honduras’ Caribbean coast.
