Project: Micro-Credit and Dried Fruit

Project Description: This exciting project in Alto Beni, Bolivia supports women farmers by providing the infrastructure to dry fruit, which allows them to sell their produce over a longer period of time and gain access to potential export markets. Dried fruit, especially organic dried fruit, is an increasingly valuable commodity in the global marketplace and its sale provides great economic benefit to indigenous communities. Eco friendly activities such as fruit growing also help to preserve the rainforests that are important to us all.
